How to Get There
On this page you'll find info about your country's procedures for coming to work in Australia and New Zealand as part of the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme and the Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) scheme.
To participate, you have to apply to your home country government's labour sending unit.

It's important to know that if you're interested in coming to Australia and New Zealand to work as part of the PALM or RSE schemes, you do not need to pay or give gifts to anyone.
If you're offered a job in the PALM scheme, your employer will pay for your flights and some other costs upfront so you can travel.
You have to gradually repay your employer for these costs once you start getting paid for your work.
Your arrival to Australia and New Zealand
Your new employer must pay for the initial costs of your application for a visa but these costs can be deducted from your wages when you start working.
They must also:
Organise and pay upfront for your travel costs, including international flights and domestic transport costs. This includes paying you a $300 contribution to your travel costs. The remaining amount can be deducted from you when you start working.
Arrange your transfer from the airport to where you’ll be staying or working, and have someone meet you when you arrive.
Help you set up a bank account, tax and superannuation arrangements, and organise a mobile phone for you to use.
Country seasonal migration procedures
Fijian citizens can apply to participate in the PALM scheme through the labour sending unit in Fiji.
You'll need to complete a registration form at a National Employment Centre office or registration event. You'll also need a CV, passport, birth certificate, referees and any relevant work and qualification documents.
Former seafarers should bring your official logbook showing your service at sea over the past 10 years.
